The Renowned Musician Calls On Backing to Get Together for Palestine Track to UK Festive Top Spot.

A charity drive is aiming to send a Palestinian lullaby to the peak of the festive singles chart. The project aims to send support to Gaza's residents while also highlighting Palestinian cultural expression.

A Chance for Solidarity and an "Surprise Victory"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a opportunity to support Palestinians over the Christmas period. He remarked the potential for an surprise number one.

“It would be incredible if that occurred, yes,” he commented. “I wouldn't be completely disheartened if it fails to, holiday tracks are a category of their own.”

Resilient Spirit of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the version of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the piece's powerful central theme.

“It has a very special place for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Star-Studded Lineup

The song was recorded after a solidarity show held in the autumn. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the piece was cut from the show due to the event running long.

The impressive roster of performers featured on Lullaby encompasses a group of acclaimed names from the music world. All participated in the benefit event, which reportedly raised a significant sum for humanitarian aid.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was brought to life by a group of producers and composers. The song features a combination of the traditional Arabic lyrics with freshly written English words.

The group managing the project have emphasized that their aim is to generate maximum funds for a specific fund. These proceeds will be channeled to projects in Palestine through an established charity.

“We don’t have a specific target,” a representative said. “We’ll go for the maximum achievable. Naturally, the higher the total, the greater the impact. All proceeds are directed out to the people of Gaza.”

The situation in the territory was characterized as its extreme devastation, with a vast majority of buildings said to be destroyed or damaged.

“Against that backdrop, a couple of million is unlikely to make a massive dent. But I think the significant factor is above all raising awareness for this issue and showing that another narrative exists.”

The song is scheduled for release on Friday. Additionally, a video of the benefit event will be made ready to watch on a digital service from the 19th of December.
