Soccer Analyst Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.
In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
The singer's new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Football and Family Life
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.
"{I actually played in a benefit match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their weekend soccer team," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this game will be fairly close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
This smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach.
So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.
My son advised me to get Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.
They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
As for Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.
But I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have still been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
