Devoted supporters of the pop star are demanding that a man who leaped a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account features recordings of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more response on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film interpretation of the acclaimed stage show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two very different witches.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, earning two for outstanding attire and set decoration.
